History:

Summer Transactions: Club captain Mike Tuck returned for another season with the Sharks while GB under-20 international Nick Lewis was another early re-signing. Tuck scored 500 points last campaign and is entering his fourth season with Sheffield while Lewis helped GB achieve promotion to Division A over the summer. American guard Brian Barbour became the club’s first import signing of the summer having averaged 12.1 ppg in NCAA1 last year with Columbia college. Patrick Horstmann was the next new addition with the German forward spending last year in the NAIA where he averaged 10pts and 7 rebounds a game for Northwood University of Florida and has previously represented his country at youth level including the under-20’s. Jeremie Simmons became the second American guard to join after signing from German side BSW Sixers where he averaged an impressive 19ppg in the Pro-B.  American Da’Quan Cook was the final new addition to the Sharks’ squad and the 6’8″ forward comes highly recommended by a former player. Cook went to the same college as Ex-BBL player Paul Williams and had spells in France and Bulgaria last year. Lyons then confirmed his recruitment was over when the club confirmed the return of influential forward Olu Babalola alongside youngsters Zach Gachette, Colin Sing and George Brownlee.
